You can make a difference today
KidsCan does not work with companies who raise funds as a third party for charities. We do all of our own fundraising so that a higher percentage of the donated funds gets directly to the children who need our help. In our experience third party companies charge significant commissions which in many cases leaves the charity with as little as 20 cents for every dollar raised. Third party companies who work for charities to sign people up for children sponsorship often take 80% or more of the donor’s contribution in the first year.
Absolutely! Many Kiwis and other caring people sign up to support a child through our website and we welcome their support.
When you sign up through our website you can choose the region you would like us to direct your support to. We will then use your monthly or yearly contribution to provide the basics for a child in one of our partner schools in that region. Because of privacy issues we cannot specifically allocated a child to you; however we will provide you with student profiles from children benefiting in the area you have chosen. We will also send you regular updates about how your contribution is making a difference. Most importantly we will ensure that 100% of your contribution goes to a child in need.
100% of child donations go to the kids. Contributions from members go into a separate bank account and this money is only used for programmes which directly benefit the children we support.
You can support a child for $15 a month at one of the schools we support by signing up by credit card or direct debit through our website or by telephone our office on 09 478 1525 and we can take your details directly.
