Bare your soles for a day... cover a child's for a year.
Every day 5,000 Kiwi kids living in poverty don't get to choose what shoes they will wear. They simply don't own any. They are going to school during these cold winter months without shoes and socks to keep their little feet warm and free from foot injury. This has a major impact on their health and learning ability.
You can change that!
KidsCan StandTall Charitable Trust invites you and your colleagues to bare your soles on Barefoot Business Day. Every $20 you raise will buy a new pair of shoes and two pairs of socks for a child in need and that is something you can feel good about!
Fundraising Ideas:
- Hold a Fabulous Feet, Biggest Feet, Funniest Feet and Best Decorated Feet competition
- Hold a Cold Feet competition – who can stand in ice cold water the longest!
- Hold a Barefoot BBQ and sell sausages to raise funds
- Take pictures of your teams feet and hold a Guess the Feet competition with a prize for the person who guesses the most correctly
How to Register:
- Set up your individual or company fundraising page at www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/kidscan. Friends, family and colleagues can then click on the link to donate online to your page
- Complete the registration form (.doc) with your company name, contact person and fundraising idea/goal and email to katherine@kidscan.org.nz or fax to 09 478 1523
- Call the KidsCan Office on 09 478 1525 and ask for our Barefoot Business Day coordinator, Katherine Shields
