The Mana Project

Because no New Zealand child should be left out in the cold.

Prestige, authority, control, influence, status, spiritual power, charisma; the God within; our essential spirit.

Mana can increase from successful ventures or decrease through the lack of success…

The Mana Project is designed to raise both money and awareness for KidsCan StandTall's work in our own backyard.

It is a not for profit fundraising and awareness initiative for KidsCan - and an official charity project of the All Blacks.

The cornerstone for all activity is a book – Mana – photographed by world-class photojournalist Nick Danziger, written and produced by James Kerr, and published pro bono by Hodder Moa throughout New Zealand.

In this beautifully produced coffee table book we follow Danziger's camera deep into the beating heart of the All Blacks - to sacred places within the All Black environment: in the sheds, on the bus, even out on the field. It is an amazing adventure in Aotearoa and Danziger's sensitive eye captures a unique vision of New Zealand and of men preparing for battle.

It is a once in a lifetime look behind the behind the scenes of this extraordinarily successful team as the begin to build towards the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

And a unique view of the social and physical landscape of New Zealand as seen through the prism of the All Blacks and what they mean to New Zealand.

As well as the chance to own a once in a lifetime publication, everyone buying the book will know that all publishers and author's royalties will go to disadvantaged Kiwi Kids in our own backyard: helping buy raincoats, shoes, food and hope for kids who otherwise have none.

It's for the family who has everything and for the children who have nothing. It's for everyone who loves the All Blacks and anyone who loves Aotearoa.

Buying this book makes a difference.

It’s important to give something back – to do all we can to make a difference, especially in our own backyard.
If we’ve had any success in life, it’s the least we can do...
— Ali Williams
