Raincoats for Kids
Keeping New Zealand children warm and dry.
For families struggling to make ends meet, providing raincoats for their children can be a real challenge–thousands of Kiwi children go without this basic item. The cold winter weather keeps many at home, while others arrive wet and freezing, unable to concentrate and at high risk of illness.
The children love their Vodafone Warriors raincoats and because they all wear them, it improves equality in the playground and reduces stigma.
Massey University research confirms that the raincoats positively influence a child’s attendance, self-esteem, motivation, participation and engagement at school.
A recent survey revealed that 81% of KidsCan partner schools felt the raincoats have improved self-esteem (survey conducted by KidsCan via SurveyMonkey, completed by 249 schools, July-August 2015).
