As food prices soar, teachers fear a ‘cost of learning crisis’ - with many kids arriving in class too hungry to learn or not turning up at all.

KidsCan is providing food for children in 1100 schools and early learning centres nationwide. But our own costs are rising, regular donations are down and we can barely keep up, let alone reach thousands of kids on our waitlist.

KidsCan’s mission is to ensure all children have a chance to fulfil their potential. With 1 in 6 Kiwi kids living in hardship – and the cost-of-living piling pressure on families – our support has never been more urgent. The good news is we are now helping children in 947 schools and more than 200 early childhood centres – and much of this growth is down to the support of our amazing business community.
