The right nutrition, good health, a stimulating environment and opportunities to play all contribute to healthy brain development during those all-important early years. KidsCan's early childhood education (ECE) programme helps remove barriers to learning by providing the practical essentials children need to attend, participate and thrive.
KidsCan partners with over 500 early childhood centres and kōhanga reo
KidsCan partners with more than 500 early childhood education (ECE) centres and kōhanga reo across New Zealand to support children living in hardship.
Children receive healthy lunches and snacks every day they attend, helping ensure they have the nutrition they need to learn, grow and thrive. Every child also receives a warm jacket, shoes and socks, dinosaur gumboots, head lice treatment and a comb.
Eligible partner ECEs and kōhanga reo also receive supervised daily toothbrushing resources, including toothbrushes and fluoride toothpaste, through the KidsCan Dental Programme, helping children establish healthy oral health habits from an early age.
