Leave a Gift in your will

Make hope your legacy

Your kindness can change the lives of Kiwi kids long into the future. Leaving a gift in your will creates a lasting impact by helping to ensure the 1 in 7 children who live in material hardship have the support they need to learn.

Every child deserves an education, and the chance to fulfil their potential. But for too many children, hardship stands in the way. KidsCan’s mission is to remove the barriers to learning by providing the essentials to keep kids warm, well and nourished.

Your generosity will mean children have full tummies, warm jackets, solid shoes and health products – helping ensure no child is left behind.

Ways to gift

We understand that making a gift in your will is a big decision, and we encourage you to speak with your loved ones first. Your legal adviser can then guide you as to which of the below options best suits your circumstances and wishes.

Gifting a percentage of your estate

Even 1% has a meaningful impact for children in need.
  • icons-gift-in-will-red

    Pecuniary

Gift a specified sum to KidsCan in your will.
  • icons-order-online-2-blue

    Specified bequest

You may wish to gift a special item of value such as stocks and shares, property or art.

    Residuary

This means gifting whatever is left over from your estate, or a % thereof, after all expenses and debts are settled and your loved ones provided for.

How to leave a gift

If you would like to update your existing will to gift to KidsCan, we recommend consulting your solicitor or a legal expert to manage the paperwork on your behalf. And of course, an enormous thank you for including us in your wishes.

You can leave a gift in your will – like money, shares, property, or anything else you’d like to pass on after you’re gone.
