Golfers chip away at poverty again.

The Rotary Club of St Johns and Freightways have teamed up to host a golf tournament raising funds for KidsCan. Building on the success of last year’s event, which also benefitted KidsCan, the golf day was held at the Remuera Golf Club on Monday 16 March 2020.

Co-organisers Freightways joined the KidsCan family in 2019 as a major partner and is the lead partner for the KidsCan Shoes for Kids Programme.

Warm but overcast conditions greeted the golfers at one of Auckland’s most picturesque golf courses. A number of businesses entered teams of 4 golfers and sponsored holes on the course for the event, including KidsCan major partner NZ Safety Blackwoods.

At the conclusion of the afternoon of golf, an auction raised further funds for KidsCan, with some items donated by other partners (Cadbury, The Warriors, Pitango). The golf day raised $27,555.09 to support KidsCan to continue helping Kiwi kids in need reach their full potential.
